May is for cyclists. The League of American Bicyclists declared May as National Bike Month in 1956. National Bike to Work Week is May 11 – 15, 2015. Solar Works cyclists Vicki Vaughn, John Matheny, Ann Hutchinson, and Ben Van Dyke will participate in Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition’s local observance of Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 14, 2015. In addition, these cycling staff members signed up for  Team Bike Challenge, logging all miles cycled in May for their Solar Works team.

Solar Works has attracted staff members who embrace its philosophy of contributing toward a healthier planet as a way of life. It’s more than solar and cycling. Staff member Stephen O’Leary walks to work almost every day and the Solar Works team tries to conduct errands on foot whenever possible. As a Certified B Corp and Sonoma Green Business, Solar Works conserves resources, recycles, and contributes to a healthy community in every possible way.
