Being the Change:
Conversations with
Sonoma County Leaders
in Ecology and Economy

This project was created to inform, inspire and activate listeners to help create positive local change. Both people and place matter, so it’s important to be part of a community where ecology, economy and social justice are in balance, and the power of business is used as a force for good.

We know it’s not always easy to align our actions with our values and intentions. But we’re discovering it’s increasingly possible to make choices that ripple out to greater benefit.

By learning from the experiences and insights of these five local change-makers, we can make practical, informed choices that address important ecological, economic and social justice issues.

The audio files at the link below include interviews with:

Leadership Institute Founder/Member Rick Theis
GoLocal Cooperative Board/Team Member Janeen Murray
Green Business Program Coordinator Kevin Kumataka
Preserve Sonoma Founder Merrilee Olsen
Solar Works Founder/CEO John Parry

On behalf of our project team: Thanks for listening – and for helping create positive local change!
