Electrical Foreman

Solar Works is seeking a “bags on” foreman for solar PV, battery, and other electrical projects in Sonoma, Napa, and Marin.

Duties:

  • Lead crew to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Ensure efficient and high quality work
  • Renovate existing electrical systems in accordance with local codes and regulations
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify electrical issues
  • Keep accurate records of work performed
  • Supervise Electrical Trainee
  • Communicate with customers and other team members

Skills:

  • Should be a Certified Electrician registered with DIR (or C-10 with ability to become Certified)
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
  • Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools and power tools used in the electrical trade
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
  • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor

Solar Consultant

Solar Works seeks a compatible Solar Consultant to develop relationships with prospective customers, lead them through the sales process, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Duties:

  • Convert leads to signed contracts, meeting individual and company-wide goals
  • Maintain expert working knowledge of the residential solar industry, including products, utility rates, incentive programs and trends
  • Develop and nurture relationships with prospective and existing customers, serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process
  • Respond to new inquiries; gather information from and pre-qualify prospective customers
  • Perform site visits to take photos, measure roofs, and assess existing electrical systems
  • Work with utilities and customers to gather energy consumption data, use appropriate design tools to determine preliminary array and inverter size
  • Use Excel-based estimating tool to generate accurate and detailed proposals
  • Review proposals and contracts with Manager prior to presenting to customers
  • Review proposals and follow up with customers, close sales, and execute contracts
  • Hand off signed contracts to the Installations team with detailed, thorough project information
  • Conduct post-installation customer Orientations
  • Update and maintain Customer Tracking workbook throughout the sales process
  • Assist with marketing and lead generation activities
